01Who we are

CelpipVerse is an independent CELPIP study app made in Canada. It is operated by its founder, Erol Gurcan (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the CelpipVerse iOS app and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

CelpipVerse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises, the owner of the CELPIP test.

02What we collect

Account details. Your email address, your name if you give one, and the sign-in method you choose (for example email or Google). Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication.

Study data. Your target score and exam date, your practice answers, the text you write for writing tasks, the voice recordings you make for speaking tasks, the scores and coach notes you receive, your daily plan, streaks, WordOrbit progress, and any favourites, ratings or notes you send about a question.

Purchase status. Whether you are on a trial or a paid plan, and when it renews. Payment itself is handled by Apple. We never see your card number.

Device and usage. Device model, iOS version, app version, crash reports, basic usage events (for example which screen was opened), and a push notification token if you allow notifications.

03How we use it

• To score your speaking and writing and give you feedback on the CELPIP 1 to 12 scale.
• To build your daily plan and show your progress and readiness.
• To send reminders and coach notes, if you turn notifications on. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
• To fix bugs, keep the service running, and prevent abuse.
• To answer your support requests.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party advertising.

04Scoring by AI models

When you submit a writing task or a speaking recording, it is sent to AI models hosted on Microsoft Azure to produce a score and feedback. These providers process your data under contract with us, only to provide the service, and do not use it to train their models.

05Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run the app:

• Google Firebase for sign-in, crash reports and push notifications.
• Microsoft Azure for our servers, AI scoring and transactional email.
• MongoDB Atlas for our database.
• Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions and receipts.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ourselves.

06Storage, security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on secured cloud servers with access limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private.

We keep your study data while your account is active so you can review past attempts and replay your recordings. When you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed within 90 days. We may keep anonymised statistics that no longer identify you.

07Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it;
• receive a copy of it;
• delete your account and data;
• stop notifications (you can also do this in iOS Settings).

Email support@celpipverse.com and we will reply within two business days. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

08Children

CelpipVerse is made for people preparing for a test taken by adults. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

09Where data is processed

Our providers may store or process data outside your province or country, including in Canada and the United States. Wherever it is processed, it stays covered by this policy and by our contracts with those providers.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will show a notice in the app or on this page and update the date at the top. Continued use after the change means you accept the new policy.
